What exactly does URBAN TECHNOLOGY do?
URBAN TECHNOLOGY, founded in 2016 and based in Abomey-Calavi, Bénin, builds and operates six digital products rather than reselling other people's. Three concern skills: Urban Academy trains executives and teams on artificial intelligence applied to their own files, ICDL certification validates digital skills as an accredited test centre, and online courses let individuals certify at their own pace. Three concern infrastructure: UrbanSMPP is an SMS gateway for high-volume transactional and marketing traffic, UrbanPay aggregates mobile money, cards and electronic wallets behind a single API, and Zekin handles cultural and professional event management. Which countries does URBAN TECHNOLOGY serve?
Six markets: Benin, Togo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Congo and the United Kingdom. That coverage matters most for payments, because the dominant mobile money operator changes from one country to the next — MTN and Moov in Benin, Moov and Togocom in Togo, Orange Money and Wave in Ivory Coast. An aggregator absorbs that fragmentation: your integration does not change when you open a new market. Training and ICDL certification are delivered in Abomey-Calavi, Bénin, at our accredited test centre, and remotely for online courses. Everything is available in French and in English; the online course videos are taught in French.
